Jim Riggs is one of our Best Note Taking Contest winners of a Wacom stylus. Read on how he uses Noteshelf.
1.) Tell us your background.
Reside in Franklin, Indiana, USA. I am the President and CEO of a large Japanese Automotive Supplier.
My interests consist of tech (of course) and Astronomy.
2.) How did you discover Noteshelf?
I discovered Noteshelf by googling reviews for the best note taking app. I think it was iMore.com that covered it the best at the time and convinced me to try it.
3.) What made you choose Noteshelf for your note taking needs? What are its top 3 best features?
Noteshelf's approach to using a stylus is as good as it gets. I'm a very neat writer and Noteshelf gave me the ability to write very small and write very neatly. Also love the ability to insert photos and the like. The ability to move it around and resize it is the best! And I think it's added ability to synch with Evernote is the bomb!
4.) What kind of notes do you usually have in Noteshelf?
I use Noteshelf to take notes in meetings. As you can Imagine I attend lots of meetings and there are lots of items I need to follow up on later. I take the notes, synch with Evernote and create follow up Reminders. My company is comprised of 3 separate manufacturing plants and 2,000 employees, so there's lots to review and keep up with.
5.) Can you tell us more about your winning entry.
I chose that as one of my best notes due to the fact that the subject matter in it has proven to be transformational at our company. We kicked off a new program to improve our communications and direction to our employees and have had phenomenal results.
That was the sketch I developed when the idea first occurred to me.
6.) How would you recommend Noteshelf to a friend or colleague?
I would absolutely recommend Noteshelf to anyone responsible for running a business. Meeting notes, brainstorming, ideas, etc are essential. Noteshelf gives me the ability to capture all of those items and get them into Evernote where I can access them anytime, anywhere. It's all part of my paperless philosophy.
